In which the very transparent all encompassing ubiquity and cultural totality of Videogames – the possibility that they are reality itself and have totally supplanted and displaced The Real for while now – means the descriptive word ‘strange’ holds next to no meaning. In fact what seems strange is to even suggest that videogames are remotely strange at all. Indeed, as a slave in dystopian sci fi remake Planet Of The Apes (2001) asks:
