Oh to be in Italy, standing around in the beautiful quiet evening, being part of the modern conversation, talking it through, exchanging ideas, having one’s thoughtful, considered opinions valued by one’s peers and fellow intellectual travellers along life’s cultured highway.. a dream that has (in this Brexit-plagued backwater island) still not yet remotely manifested.
