RND/ To consider a remarkable poetry and photography collection by young people, direct from some near future retro 60s memory of faded American days now long gone; effortlessly enchanting with mad / sad / glad dreamscape warmth.
Poems and photography from scholastic creative writing awards – selected / edited by Stephen Dunning/ displayed here for artistic historical archiving and educational purposes.
As scanned, lightly cleaned, greyscaled and presented by theorist Robert What.
Note: Robert found and contacted one writer seen in this collection – now a successful artist in their own right – who had not heard about or even remembered this poetry for over 50 years; some certain sadness was heard in their voice, combined with reticent gratitude for obviously difficult and distant memories now stirred after so many faded summers.
How quietly beautiful and strange – mad, sad and glad indeed.
